6 Greek Universities Feature on Prestigious Colleges List

Six Greek universities are on a list of higher-learning institutions offering diplomas sought after by employers worldwide, according to a study of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) global team of higher education analysts.

The survey was based on the Employer Reputation Indicator, taking into account the views of over 42,000 employers around the world, making it the world’s largest research of its kind.

The two Greek universities with the highest performance in the Employer Reputation index are the National Technical University of Athens in 224th place and the Athens University of Economics and Business in 293rd place.

Other Greek universities on the list are the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University of Crete and the University of Patras.

In this year’s ranking, none of the Greek universities has managed to improve its overall performance, with four of them remaining stable in ranking and two dropping to lower positions.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology remains the world leader for sought-after graduates for the seventh consecutive year while four of the other best universities in the world are in the United States.

In this year’s rankings, Oxford University (fifth place) occupies a higher position than the University of Cambridge (sixth), which had been the top university in the U.K. for many years.
