Epirus Cultural Heritage Unfolds at Athens Ancient Theater

The Panepirotic Confederation of Greece, the organization that keeps the customs alive and promotes the rich history and culture of Greece’s Epirus region, will hold a big musical, theatrical and dance performance in Athens’ odeon of Herodes Atticus, under the shadow of the Acropolis on Wednesday, October 3.

A trip to the legend, the reality and history of Epirus — from antiquity to modern times, will reveal the ancient, byzantine, contemporary, and modern history of this amazing region of Greece.

From the ancient theater of Dodoni and the city of Nicopolis to the medieval bridges and the lake of Ioannina, Epirus’ route around the world will be concentrated in a night full of music, rhythm, history, and dance.

Famous actors, creators, singers and musicians will offer the Athenian audience a glimpse of the eternal epirotic magic.
