A suspect package addressed to Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos was intercepted in Athens on Friday.
Reports say the alarm was raised after the item was identified at a state post office in the Psychiko district of the capital where the president has a private residence.
The item was initially delivered to a property neighboring the president’s residence before being returned to the post office.
It is understood technical experts were called into scrutinize the mail and the alert is over.
