The first-ever joint Greece-Palestine ministerial committee held its first meeting on Tuesday in Athens.
The committee’s work was aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries, especially in the areas of energy, culture and the economy, with particular emphasis being put on direct business-to-business relations.
The conference took place one day after the second trilateral meeting of ministers from Greece, Cyprus and Palestine.
Greece was represented on the Greece-Palestine ministerial committee by Alternate Foreign Minister George Katrougalos, Minister of Education Kostas Gavroglou, and Minister of Environment and Energy George Stathakis. The Deputy Minister of Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Media Lefteris Kretsos and the Minister of Agricultural Development Olympia Teligioridou also represented the interests of Greece at the talks.
Nikos Christodoulides, Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Republic of Cyprus, also held a separate one-one one meeting with Greek Alternate Foreign Minister George Katrougkalos while the trilateral conference was taking place.
