TRAINOSE, the Greek railway company that was recently bought by the Italian Ferrovie Dello Stato published an announcement regarding the new ETR 480 train, also known as ‘the silver arrow’.

The company says that it aims to make train the people’s first choice when travelling from Athens to Thessaloniki and this is the reason why the new train came from Italy to Greece.

It will carry out some trial runs on the existing railway lines, before it starts its regular itinerary.

“Our target is for the train to become a first choice for transportation between Athens and Thessaloniki and we are fully dedicated to this goal,” TRAINOSE noted, while adding that there would be no scaling back in the level of services offered to passengers, which would remain the same as those enjoyed by the guests of the Silver Arrow’s maiden run in Greece.
