Greek Training Aircraft Crashes in South Peloponnese; Pilots Unharmed

A Hellenic Air Force T-2 training aircraft crashed while flying south of Kalamata, in Peloponnese, at 12:02 on Wednesday local time.

The two-man crew managed to bail out of the aircraft safely and were picked up by an Air Force helicopter.

It appears that the plane suffered a malfunction in one of its engines during takeoff.

An expert inquiry to investigate the causes of the incident will take place.
