The Wealthiest Russian Oligarch Has Landed in Chania Crete

Alisher Usmanov, a Russian business oligarch with an estimated net worth of $15.1 billion is in Greece’s Crete and his enormous and luxurious private airplane has landed at Chania Airport.

It is the third most expensive private airplane in the world.

The oligarch purchased an Airbus A340-300 for $238 million, after he sold his Facebook shares a few years ago.

With Usmanov’s upgrades to the aircraft, its value is estimated to exceed $450 million. It is noted that his plane is bigger than the one used by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The airplane also has a so called ”panic room” that was created to withstand a crash, saving the lives of those on board.
