Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is to visit Greece in late November or early  December, according to Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias,  and as stated by Kathimerini newspaper.

The Greek minister made the comment at a press conference, after his visit to the neighboring country this week.

During Kotzias’ visit to Turkey, his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu urged Greece to not become a “safe haven” for plotters of last year’s coup attempt, citing the 995 people who have applied for asylum since the failed putsch in Turkey last year.

Kotzias commented that the decisions on asylum seekers are made by the Greek judiciary authorities, and have to be respected even if “it doesn’t please some.”
