Magnitude 4.8 Earthquake Strikes Near Kilkis, Greece

A magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck near Thessaliniki and close to the city of Kilkis at 6:24 am local time according to the Athens Institute of Geodynamics. Its epicentre was located at a 10km depth.

The quake which was followed by at least three other minor tremors was felt in Thessaloniki and in many areas in Northern Greece.

No damages or injuries have been reported.
