Watch a spectacular video of the second super moon of 2019 as it appeared over Athens and Nafplio in Greece on Tuesday at 17:53 (local time).

The moon, also called the Super Snow Moon will illuminate tonight’s sky as the moon is both full and at its closest distance to Earth.

The super moon tonight is the second of three super moons this winter and it is the brightest of the trio.

It appears about 10 percent larger than an average full moon on account of being relatively close to Earth, just 221,681 miles (356,761 kilometers) away.
