Earthquake Rattles Greece’s Volos

An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale, according to initial estimates, shook the coastal city of Volos in central Greece, alarming residents early Friday morning.

The tremor was felt strongly because its epicenter was located somewhere beneath the city at a very shallow depth of roughly five kilometers (3.1 miles).

No injuries or serious damage was reported.
