The Art Gallery of Dimitrios Pierides was founded in 1980. The Pierides Collection comprises 1040 paintings, sculptures, engravings and fine pottery, and includes works that were created mainly after the Second World War by Greek and Cypriot artists. Since 1983, the Gallery has developed intense cultural activities in Athens, the region and abroad.
