The Archaeological Museum of Kerameikos houses exhibits, almost exclusively funerary, coming from the excavations of the German Archaeological Institute in the archaeological site of Kerameikos, covering 38,500 sq. Meters.
The museum is located in the homonymous archaeological site and is accessible from the pedestrian street of Ermou Street (148 Ermou Street), near Piraeus Street. It is a simple ground-floor square building, the facade of which is framed by a covered G-shaped gallery. Inside there are four exhibition spaces surrounding the covered patio, shaped with olives and laurels as a small indoor garden. In the first space and atrium there are the sculpture works that cover all the seasons of antiquity, while the other three rooms exhibit pottery and other findings mainly from the necropolis of Kerameikos.
Behind the exhibition grounds are storage areas and the maintenance workshop. A shop and a shop can be found at the entrance of the archaeological site at Ermou street.
