The Museum of the History of the Olympic Games of antiquity hosts 463 ancient works, coming from the Sanctuary of Zeus of Olympia, as well as other Museums of Greek territory. The exhibits cover a large chronological range from the second millennium BC. Until the 5th c. A.D. The antiquities have been exhibited by thematic units and through them the history of the Olympics, the longest antiquity of antiquity, is presented. The Museum’s building complex consists of the ground floor exhibition grounds and the basement where it is planned to operate in the future multimedia for a more complete presentation of the Games as well as educational programs.
The exhibition area consists of the large central hall, the anteroom and eleven small halls.
