The Archaeological Museum of Delos was built in 1904 at the expense of the Athens Archaeological Society. The original building consisted of the five western halls, to which several more were added in 1931 and 1972. At the same time, there were great but unfortunate changes in the exterior of the building.
Today’s exhibition includes nine halls: six of them are the sculptures and reliefs found in Delos, one of the best collections in the world. Two rooms include prehistoric and post-Hellenistic vases, and another are exhibited with several small items found in the private homes of Delos. The report has not yet been finalized.
