The Archaeological Museum of Poros was built in the years 1967-1968 in the place of the old residence of Alexandros Korizis (Prime Minister of Greece in 1941), donated by his heirs to the Greek State for this purpose. There are two exhibition halls in the Museum, one on the ground floor and one on the floor of the building, hosting exhibits from all over the area of Troizina, as well as the findings of the old Philadelphus excavations in Ermioni.
The exhibition on the ground floor includes sculptures, inscriptions and architectural members from Troizina, Kalavria and Methana. In the hall, there is a large relief with a dog representation, carved in a massive lithosphere with extensions showing that it was embedded in an ancient building. It was found in the area of Agios Georgios in the valley of Fousa (near the village of the upper lantern), where the existence of an extensive ancient settlement and cemeteries is known.
