The most important position is the findings of the great sanctuaries of Sparta. The visitor of the museum has the opportunity to admire findings from the prehistoric sites of Laconia, works of sculpture from the archaic to the Roman period, from various regions of the prefecture, as well as finds of the rescue excavations among which they hold a prominent position. Portions of mosaic floors of Roman times from Sparta. Finally, the museum’s exhibition includes a few epigraphic texts that illuminate some aspects of the history of Sparta.
